No, not yours truly; lord knows that happened back during Clinton's first
term (no, not DeWitt Clinton, who worked for completion of the Erie Canal
in New York in the 1820s, although sometimes I feel about that old).
Anyway, today is the 40th birthday of Joseph, the Amazing Multi-Colored
Herald 948 saloon. Originally built for Personal Export Delivery in Pale
Yellow and Sebring White beginning on this day, Joseph still sports those
colors -- in places -- and a few more (both Powder and Wedgewood Blue,
traces of Coffee, even some quick-and-dirty black lacquer from a long ago
preservation attempt on a primed front valance). Sigh...I didn't quite
achieve my goal of having him roadworthy again for his 40th birthday. I
suppose I could still try for at least getting him running again for the
anniversary of the 30 May 1960 delivery.
Oh, and I also missed wishing TS 71909 L happy 40th a week ago today.
Sorry! I'll try to do better with TS 73624 L, born on Tax Day 1960!
