I painted one side of my suspension with rustolium primer and spray paint and the other with VHT epoxy spray paint. The epoxy is self priming and easier to get a good coat. The epoxy is also more durable and seems to bond better. I also used this paint on my rollbar, where it has held up very well. On the rollbar, I used a product called metal prep (phorsphic acid (sp?)) before painting. You can find the acid in the paint section of selected hardware stores. You should be able to find it at the better auto parts stores. It's marketed for frames and rollbars. Brian Kemp 72 TR6 |
