The answers you've already received are good advice. My car runs quite well using only the centrifugal advance in the distributor, which you can adjust by changing the length and/or strength of the spring in the advance mechanism. Although it's a vintage race car and is set to 30 degrees of advance at high rpm, it falls back enough at idle to run smoothly. Jim Hill Madison WI |
