> On another note, I sent an e-mail to the VTR asking them if they
really
had much interest in the non-sidescreen TR's. Their beautiful web page
sends
mixed vibes. I greatly admire the TR2s'and TR3s' but I love my TR4a. Is the
VTR too slanted toward the sidescreen years to be of great interest to TR4
owners. I've detected a little snobbyness { new word ? } toward
non-sidecreen
owners. This isn't meant to start a war. I drool when I see a beautiful TR2
or TR3 at a show or on the road. I've received no response from the VTR.
Thanks

I don't think so. The President of the same said organization is a
dedicated Hearld and Spitfire owner (Hi Andy). If the VTR were
Sidescreen-oriented just think how they would delegatethe wedges(TR7's and
8's) to second class citizenship. But no, the wedges are treated with a
level of respect equal to that of the earlier cars.
Perhaps you are confusing the VTR with the TRA (which is dedicated to
sidescreen cars and as such would naturally feel snobby towards comfortable
cars.)
