Thanks to all who responded. I enjoy coming home from work and seeing the
replies.
I had taken the pump apart but didn't see any obvious tears in the diaphragm.
Now I will open it up again and examine it closer.Could there be a tear that
is only visible when the rubber is being pushed up by the arm? I guess.. I've
been avoiding a carb rebuild cause I don't feel that I can do it myself and I
hate to pay someone. I guess I'll have to gamble or bite the bullet.
On another note, I sent an e-mail to the VTR asking them if they really
had much interest in the non-sidescreen TR's. Their beautiful web page sends
mixed vibes. I greatly admire the TR2s'and TR3s' but I love my TR4a. Is the
VTR too slanted toward the sidescreen years to be of great interest to TR4
owners. I've detected a little snobbyness { new word ? } toward non-sidecreen
owners. This isn't meant to start a war. I drool when I see a beautiful TR2
or TR3 at a show or on the road. I've received no response from the VTR.
Thanks
Dave
