I got mine from Moss and out of ignorance maybe, just thought I was expected
to snip and file them to fit. It took some patience and you're right, they
do dent easily, but I did get a good fit on both and they look a 1000%
better than the old ones. Actually, when I compared them, the old ones
didn't seem to be thicker. They were harder, but I think aluminum will
harden itself over time. Old airplane parts get brittle and stress fracture
like that too.
