Jay,

I do not know what to tell you about the exhaust manifold but I replaced my
starter with one from TSI automotive and it is very nice.  It is about 1/3
smaller and has a lot more power.  I also had the problem with the EGR valve
tube being pluged.  I purchased a new pipe and everything works great.  The
pipe was not to expensive through TRF.
