It refers to the diameter group, (and I guess therefore the weight of the
piston) not the grade.
The Leyland 2000/2500 ROM has a complete listing of sizes for each
alphabetical group. I can get them for you if you need them.

Dear lister's

    I was reading in bentley seeking info's to rebore my block. Can
anybody tell me the difference between grade A and grade B pistons? Mine
are stamped B. I don't understand what they mean in the manual...
