1970 GT6+ cylinder head / intake manifold (that HOT car)

Someone had a similar experience as mine (unresolved overheating) and
removed the intake manifold to find out that the ports did not match exactly
on the head and manifold! They appeared to match from outside castings, but
there was a slight diff on the location of the ports. Ever heard of this, or
know which heads match which intake manifolds?
