I have the opportunity to pickup an engine from a TR4A and was wondering if
anyone has plans or has made a cradle to store this engine on. I would like
to build a cradle and keep this engine for future rebuilding.

Sure. I have a spare motor which has lived on a frame made of 2 x 6's for a
while now. Made it so the sump just fits into it. Put 4 casters on it so I
can wheel it about. Also took an old sump plug, cut it off flush and put a
slot across it with a hacksaw, so it wouldnt stick out and can be undone with
a bf screwdriver. Put the front seal plate on the crank with a 5/8-18 bolt,
so I don't have to have the long bolt in. Every so often I pull the plugs,
squirt in some oil and turn the thing over a few times. Just waiting for one
of my engines to "go"!
Well not really.
