Hi all,

FYI, as a 3 year + lister (on both), I have noticed a trend. WE spend ALL
our "winter" time asking technical questions about our various shipwright's
projects. Then, come about 1 month prior to VTR, all hell breaks loose and
all anyone talks about is driving and/or the less technical and more common
problems (hence the "no new content" comments).

I ignore entire threads. I know what "del" stands for. When I get tired of
using it, I will drop off of one or the other lists. Or, perhaps I will get
the digest, as I once did, so I "read" only once per day. Imagine reading
your daily newspaper one article at a time, spread over the entire "work"
day? Yes, it is silly, but likely no different.

Things will again change back to a tech list. People WILL NOT learn to reply
off-list where warranted. No thank you's (especially to Mark Bradakis who
must organise this mess) will be given. No "school report card grades" will
be given for your individual contributions, or lack thereof. And nobody
will be able to harness the collective unruliness of a bunch of gearheads -
which is what makes us all "the same" after all is said and done.

There. Said my piece, did not send my bio, did not request replies or
redundant information, did include a reasonable subject line, did not flame
anybody. Damn, am I boring and un-controversial, or what?!?!
