Hmm,

I'm just about 60, live in Michigan, newly retired last year, married for 30
years (married on Friday the 13th, tonight is sort a wedding anniversary),
two children: Alicia just graduated from Vanderbilt and is leaving in the
morning to work on a grad degree in math at Penn State, Tom is in
Aeronautical Engineering and IOE (whatever that is) at the University of
Michigan. They get their smarts and work ethic from my wife (that's why it's
important for guys like me to marry well).

I've never worked on cars, so my son and I bought the Spitfire to have some
fun and, perhaps, do some autocrossing. It has been a wonderful education.
I'd like to thank all the folks on these lists that have helped in this
never-ending project.

Cars owned: 195? Standard 8 or Singer (both names were on title), 193? Model
A, 1955 V8 Merc, 196? Beetle, 1959 TR3, 1967 Austin-Healey 3000, 1965
Corvair, 1970 VW Bus, 1972 Fiat 124, 1970 Olds 442, 197? Blazer, 197? VW
Rabbit, 1984 Vanagon, a GM Station Wagon (don't remember the year or model-
very forgettable), 198? Jetta, 1989 Civic, a bunch of Accords (like 6), 1996
Sonoma 4 x 4, 4 Spits, 1998 Toyota Tacoma, and a 1999 Civic. Of this pile, 3
Spits, '89 Civic, '95 Accord, '98 Tacoma, and the wife's '99 Civic remain.
Why so many? Four drivers in the household.

My next car will be either a TR3 or 4.

That's enough.

We sure love our cars,

Tom Ambrose
