And this leads me to another question for my car (since I have to give up trying
to fix the O.D.)

Last week, when I got caught in the rain, I had to use the wipers for the first
time since buying my 75 TR6. I tried them for a few seconds when I bought it
and they moved back and forth so great.

But, when I really needed them, they would wipe back and forth a bunch of times
then on the stroke returning to the parked position, they wouldn't go all the
way down and reverse direction. They'd make it almost the whole way down and
then stop and just vibrate. I found it could be by rolling the window down and
pressing down on the driver's blade. They'd then continue happily for several
more cycles then do it again.

How do the wipers change directions so I can have a look into this?
