Listers-- Many thanks to all who offered suggestions and/or advice about boring 83mm piston liners out to accomodate 87mm. I have heard about both positive and negative experiences and it appears, not that this should shock or surprise any of us, that the competancy of the machine shop is central to the success of the procedure. Our first step will be to do some additional diagnosis, try Marvel mystery oil, and if and when all else fails, replace the rings. |
