Listers-

Thanks for the imediate support during my oil pressure crisis. One of the 
nice things about this list is that newbies don't bet !@#$% for asking what 
might seem obvious questions.

So I have filled the car with fresh Castrol 20/50 wt oil. Tomorrow I will 
test drive in the LA heat (about 90 I am guessing). That will tell me 
something. Then, if it's still on the low side, I will get my dukus and the 
car in for a leak-down test. From there it's head gasket or bearing time.

BTW, I occasionally get a knocking sound from the block during the first few 
rotations when the car fires up from cold. Is this the first sigh of bearing 
trouble or just the TR6's oil-starved star-up (I have the stock horizontal 
oil filter)?
