provided you are in the uk, hang on to your head (sorry for the pun) as it
seems that the government will make lead replacement fuel available, i.e.
pump fuel with an additive already added so no need for hardened valve seats
etc. Not official yet, but hey.

I use a product called CD-2 but have no idea if it is helping. Sorry to
admit it, but I chose it mainly because of the very handy dispenser
bottle
that makes it easy to measure and add an ounce or so each fill-up.
Have used it since the lead started to disappear (in the early 80's?)
but
haven't had the head off since then to see the condition of the valve
seats.
