Since I don't believe Model As had power valves to be damaged by a
backfire, or a paper element fuel filter to swell and clog while the engine
was out, my guess would be that the baffles in the muffler came loose and
closed off the exhaust.
Unfortunately I won't be in Portland, so if I win, you can give my drink to
Andy (sounds like he needs it) <g>
