Any Problems With Carb Cleaner

Today is my day for questions. I was wondering if anyone has had any
problems with their cars resulting from the use of spray in/on carb
cleaner? I developed some goofy problems with the solenoids on the carb of
a Mazda 626 once after using it. Since my Spit is gloriously without such
annoying contraptions, I just wanted to make sure that there was nothing
else that could be damaged by using it.
