Charlie:

I installed the new braided, race clutch hose and bled it twice...once
with a mighty vac, and once with a mighty wife (She must love me to sit in
a hot garage and push on a clutch peddle!!)

The result is still the same. I hate it when I can't figure out a
problem!!!!!!!!!

Everything is to spec and is new. I can think of several more
possibilities. I built an adjustable push rod to go between the slave and
the lever on the tranny housing. I might also make one to take up some of
the slack that lets the peddle travel a couple of inches before I feel
resistance from the hydraulics. (To repace the push rod between the
peddle and the Master) They are fairly easy and cheap and I will let you
know if it works.

But I was thinking today, that when I replaced the clutch ( and I would
have to go back through the records and see who I got it from...probably
Moss or TRF) it came with instructions to replace the bolts because the
flange that bolts to the flywheel was thinner or had deeper indentations.
I didn't ever think to measure to see if there was a difference in the
distance from the flywheel to the top of the pressure plate of the two
clutches. A slight difference there would make a great deal of
difference in the action of the hydraluics.

Or am I just in the "clutches" of insanity and having delusions?

Other than that, when it heats up, I just won't ever go into reverse!
Like the Italian guy in Cannonball who rips off the mirror and says,
"Never look back!" or something like that.
