I have a question about removing and replacing the frame to body seal on the
front windscreen. How do you do it??? I am repainting the car and want to
replace the seal. Do you need to loosen the windscreen mounts or does it
just press in. I do not want to start ripping it out and find out that it
is a tough job to replace. The books do not discuss it.

You're in luck, as this is one of the (relatively) easy jobs to do on a TR6.
You only have to remove the 3 "acorn" nuts that you can see on top of your dash
to free the edge up, then look carefully at the attachment points for the 2
pillars that are the sides of the frame. These are located high and behind the
foot well "kick panels". The ends of the posts are threaded and held in place
by a nut and a couple of washers. You may need to soak them in "Liquid Wrench"
(tm) or something like it as these puppies tend to get H2O on them and r*st
(sorry, dangerous word). Once all of the "hardware" is off, carefully work the
w/s up and off following the angle of the w/s frame.

Good luck and if you have any trouble with it, contact me off-list and I'll try
to talk you through it.
