That's often the way it happens. I got an original, hardcover factory TR2
'Service Instruction Manual' from a guy I met at a stoplight shortly after
buying my 3A last summer. He said he had a '56 TR3 in the early 60's, but he
was certain he kept the manual when he sold the car; all these years later,
he figured I would have more use for it than he would. A couple of days
later, I received a call from the person - he'd found the book, and I was
welcome to it. The same thing happened when I bought an original TSOA
(Triumph Sports Owners Assoc.) badge for $50 from a person a couple years
ago - along comes an article in 'Triumph World' mag about a cache of
original badges surfacing in England. I bought a pair of new, unused badges
for $10 each, plus shipping! (p.s. - those badges are long since gone.)
Patience is a virtue - if you own it, they will come! Cheers, JD

I found a set locally by pure accident. While putting gas in the
car
the guy next to me says "nice car - need any wheels?" $40 later I
had
four wheels in nice shape. Apparently, he bought a TR6 when he was
15
and totalled it when he was 16 - a classic case of oversteer as he
described it. Thanks for the reply.

If you can't find them any closer. I've got a bunch of them in Va.
