If it isn't leaking , it is probalbly ok. You can also clamp one of the mounting ears in a vise very tightly with the valve body (that is the large hex head bolt at the end of the shock away from the lever arm) closest to the ground and slowly work the arm through its full travel about 10 times. There should be no "holidays" in the resistance that the shock offers to the movement of the lever. If there are, then it needs rebuilding. Regards, Greg Solow |
