Gary,

I went through this thought process earlier this year and went with the
205/70 15. An important consideration for me was the overall height of the
tire as I wanted to change the car's profile as little as possible while
improving its handling characteristics. I put together a spreadsheet
program that computes the heights and circumferences of the various size
tires as well as their variances from stock. If you are interested, I will
be happy to send it to you. I later heard that there are internet sites
that allow you to do much the same thing...possibly Tire Rack's
site(www.tirerack.com)

My experience with this size tire has been positive, but neither do I push
the car's performance limits.

On a related matter, I also had the redline put on by Diamondback Tires in
South Carolina...a firm that has been discussed in this forum in the past.
That, too, has worked out OK.
