Steve,

    I am in the process of doing a ground up. In my opinion, Get all the
small metal parts. Put as many as you can to a sandblasting shop. In
Montreal, there is a place that does it for me at about $30.00(cdn) an hour.
That's about $20.00 us. Then I bring them to get plated. Other parts like
the brake shields and parts like that. I use a a wire brush on a drill. Then
I paint 'em. Save me a hell of alot of money. ALL RUBBER should be changed.
