Well.. I just finished it and now I unfortunately have to part with it.
It is a 1976 Spitfire 1500 with lots many little tweaks.
It can be viewed at
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Factory/3801/triumph.html
The site is jammed pack with info so it might take a minute to load.
I have run it once since I put the engine back together in Feb.. thanks for
all the help this list provided with the front crank nut removal
(#!@**%$#!!) and how to degree a cam. It is back together and doesn't leak
any engine oil and since the cam was retimed, new 2" exhaust and Supertrapp
(which incidentally looks and sounds great) the car really moves and has no
problem revving.
I wasn't planning on getting rid of it but a friend of mine who is storing
all my Sonetts is now moving and they mean more than the Spit so.... wife
says the Spit and boat must go.. sniff sniff. Anyway, my loss is your
gain.
To see particulars go to the site or e-mail me for more privately.. no
sense in cluttering up the bandwidth here.
As a matter of fact.. just put on some new used tires for a race
yesterday.. but I was sick and couldn't run it. This is a spur of the
moment sale as I hate these choices.
Oh, the car is located in Mobile, Alabama and with a few hours could be
street legal I think at least for down here in LA (Lower Alabama) that is.
Thanks,
Erik Bjorkner
