Jack:
I rebuilt my sons TR4 engin last year. It had about 50 miles on it when he
let me drive it to work. Well it was great, took it to 5000 rpm's in 1st,
2nd, 3rd and about 95 in 4th. Then slowed down to about 60 mph. I was told
some time ago brake them in like you are going to drive.

 I raced a TR3 in E/P class for about 5 years and never had any problens
with the lower end, only head gaskets.
