Ian, In my opinion, the contact cements are not up to the task either. They get pretty soft in the heat, expecially a GT6. It is better to use a 2 part resin cement. I used an acrylic urethane automotive clearcoat for the finish. It is CLEAR, not yellowish, waterproof, very UV resistant. Just what you need for an exposed surface such as a dash. Plus, it takes a better shine than any spar varnish I have seen. As for the source of veneers. Check www.wood-veneers.com -Tony |
