G'day, Listers. As the days grow longer here in Ottawa, my thoughts are
turning to actually driving my Triumphs. One noteworthy problem I
encountered with my 1958 TR3A tach late last summer was that the tach quit
on me. I obtained another one locally, tried it by attaching the tach cable,
then installed it in the dash (much easier to crawl around under than my
TR6). After 2 days, the needle had pinned itself at 2,000 rpm, and has not
moved since. I have a couple other tachs from a parts car collection I
bought last year, but before I kill any more, I'd like some ideas as to the
possible source of my woes. Could it be the cable? Thoughts, ideas, etc.
gratefully accepted. Cheers, JD.
