maybe not but I would recommend it. I gotts a bad feelings for paper
gaskets, and since it can't be seen why not. Just put on a little bit and
wipe squeeze out off. Squeeze out is the key word. If you put enough on to
squeeze out you may have squeeze in and the sealant may gum up the bits in
side...
