I saw an hour long show on the History Channel this weekend on the
history of Jaguar. Interesting that in the show the XK-120 was touted
as the "poor man's Ferrari" and the article that Chip mentioned called
the AH 3000 the "poor man's Jaguar". So I guess that makes Triumphs
"poor men's Austin Healeys".
By the way, In that show about Jaguar, I learned something of which I
was not previously aware. The first Jaguars (before they were actually
called Jaguars) were powered by Standard 6 cyl. engines.
