I have a 3/4 inch bar on my TR4 with uprated (390lbs) front springs. To see
how it rolls look at the second picture on
http://members.tripod.com/~BrianJohnson_UK/page100.html The anti roll bar is
quite clear because its painted red ! (a UK TR4 owners foible)
Its actually not too bad - and you don't necessarily have to change the bar to
change its action, as you can use harder or softer rubber mountings where it
attaches to the front suspension.
I tried to fit a rear bar but couldn't. I do get the rear wheel lifting and
the inner tyre sometimes screeches when I'm giving it some stick, but otherwise
the car is pretty neutral. I only understeered once in it and that was in
some very wet weather in Wales ..
I'm going to try to fit the rear bar to my TR2 when I build the chassis, and I
also have the same 390lb front springs and anti roll bar, but this time I have
adjustable shock absorbers.
