ELECTRICAL SHORT

Question,

I have a 1974.5 TR6.  When I turn on the fan blower, or the defrost 
or the air, Everything works fine, but when I turn them off, SPARKS 
fly.  Does anyone else have or have they had this problem and 
where is the most logical place to look at first.
