Listerati,
The General Assembly of the State of Virginia
may be considering a bill this legislative season that
would eliminate emissions inspections for cars over
25 years old (rolling exemption) regardless of whether
they are registered as antiques or not.
Senate Bill #1012 is now before the Committee
on Transportation. This is the time to be heard, as many
bills will "die in committee" and never even be considered
by the house and senate. Please write or e-mail your
Delegate and Senator, and cross-post this information
to as many car-hobby mail lists and web sites as possible.
The Bill's "patrons" are:
Senators- Howell, Hanger, Marsh, Mims, Newman,
Quayle, Reynolds, Ticer, Trumbo, Whipple, and Williams.
Delegates- Albo, Black, Brink, Darner, Landes, May, Moran,
Parrish, Plum, Stump, and Watts.
If you happen to live in Loudoun County,
Delegate Joe May can be reached at:
joetmay@aol.com
Could other listers post their Delegate's and Senator's
addresses as they find them please?
Thanks for helping.
