I'll consider myself lucky that 14 years ago, I had no trouble at all
getting the head off my GT6+. Sounds like it could've been a "bear".
Of course I'd heard horror stories about removing ball joints as well,
and replaced the pair of mine in less than an hour!
Question: can *any* reputable mechanic do a good job on a head/valves,
or should it go to an LBC specialist?
And, if going to the local garage, should I supply the parts or would
the average Joe Mechanic have access to the "proper bits?"
BTW, the "drivetrain specialist" who balanced my propshaft installed
Hardy/Spicer U-joints! Sounded like the right parts to me!
