TR6 glass/bezel gauge gaskets?

Anybody know what type of material/gasket is found between the bezel and
glass of TR6 guages? (a gasket on the gauge itself, not the one between the
gauge and the dash.)

I'm refurbishing my ammeter, oil gauge, fuel level gauge, and temp gauge. I
found a crusty mess of black substance between the inside of the aluminum
bezel and the face glass, and would like to replace it.
