Testing the vacuum line to see if my distributor retard would move the point plate in the distributor I found that the darn thing would not hold a vacuum, let alone move the point plate. I disassembled the distributor. The retard diaphragm does not appear to be rebuildable. I don't see it listed in any of my current parts catalogs. Is the 4 degrees of retard really needed? Does anyone no where I can get it repaired if it is necessary? This is a single vacuum line distributor from a GT-6 dated 12/71. |
