When I bought my TR3, it had Perrelli tires and the tread looked pretty
good, so I left them on, that is until one developed a bubble. I figured
they must be pretty old, so I replaced them all. I was amazed at the
difference in the steering - and the handling. So that's one possibility.
Another I thought someone that knows what they're talking about might
mention is the adjustment screw in the steering box. If that's messed up I
would think it could cause the steering to bind.
