I cannot be sure, but I believe Crane changed their warranty a couple of
years ago.  It is not a recent change.

Ray,
I just looked at the latest VB catalog and the "Lifetime Warranty"
statement is indeed there.  I think considering the circumstances, VB
would be hard pressed to avoid covering the unit (or seeing that Crane
does) if their advertising is incorrect or misleading.
