Robert, I am currently refurbishing my control head, and took a video of
it as I disassembled it, so I would know how to put it back together. I
haven't reviewed the video, and I don't know it's quality. The ambient
light was nil when I did it. Anyway, I can't, from your description,
figure out which screw you are talking about. There are two screws that
hold the horn button contacts in place that have nuts on their bottom
ends, one of which connects to the horn wire. There is a flat head
screw that holds the turn signal lever onto the switch. This screws
into a threaded insert in the bakelite material of the switch. Directly
below the lever, and on the other side of the center pivot of the switch
is a screw whose head is on the wiring side of this assembly and on the
horn contact side there is a nut. Now that I look at this again, it's
quite possible I reinserted the screw up side down, and the head should
be "up" with the nut on the wiring side of the assembly. My unit is
still apart and I may have flipped the screw over when I put it back in
to show where it went. Anyway, if this is the screw you are referring
to, it does have a nut on it.......
