Hi Brad, Not any real engineering info here...just my own experience...I have one that I use in my truck. It loses a lot of volume in the translation. It plays by finding a spot on the FM dial around 102-105 that is far from any other station. The problem here in the Atlanta area is that there is very little free space....at least that the truck doesn't pick something up at.
