thanks to everyone who responded to my question of IRS vs Live axle. I have
to admit i was surprised at the result. Live axle was clearly prefered over
the IRS.
I was under the impression that the IRS would have more value and better
resale and that would out weigh the maintenance factor.
in the end it will come down to the car with best overall condition, and if
i make a mistake and have to start over again.
