Listers, I recently placed the original post about separating the inner axle from the drive flange. Well, I got them separated! The first one i used heat, WD40, a deep-well 11/16 socket (which ruined it), and a 5 lb. mini sledge hammer. The socket was just the diameter to press on the axle shaft only, similiar to how i remove u-joints. It took two very hard two handed blows, but it released. The second one was much easier.
