Philip,
The radio speaker in my '70 TR6 was located in a metal (I think) enclosure
behind or possibly under the glovebox in the passenger footwell. I remember
it having a bracket and was obviously part of a "kit" designed for this
purpose. It has been 23 years since we parted company and I don't recall any
details of the design or installation. It may have been one of the various
"dealer kits" available.
It is my understanding that all radios, or any options except for overdrive,
were installed by the importer or the dealer, not the factory. Ever notce the
seemingly random location of antennas on TR6's? Anyone having factual
knowledge of this, please post what you know.
Hope this helps,
