Thanks to all for the info on hog ring staples and tools for closing
them.
I have one more question. Y'see, I don't live near a farm, so I'm going
to have to order them from somewhere. My question is, how do I specify
the size I need? I measured one of the few original staples that hadn't
turned completely to orange dust. Closed, the diameter of the ring is
3/8 inch. Open, the total length is 1 1/4 inch (there's that 'pi'
business they tried to drum into us back in high school:)
So is this a 3/8" hog ring staple, or a 1 1/4", or a #6, or what???
