I would strongly agree with the body guys. You can scuff the old paint and
add a good sealer, primer, then paint, but there's a very good chance that
once the new chemicals dry or cure, they will shrink a bit and the cracks will
show through your brand new paint job and it'll drive you nuts! Then again
maybe it won't, but it's a gamble I wouldn't take.....
