Hello list, I'm responding to ALL the advice that I have received about
2 wk. ago about: "topping - up" the radatior of 1-2 oz. everytime. Many
of you pointed out: 1)a possable leak in the system [NO leak], 2)replace
the rad. cap [I thought it was that & I did], 3)if it's only an ounce,
then don't worry. Well, as mentioned, I did replace the rad. cap after
having to repair the 2 holes in the Timing Cover [NO connection to the
cooling system problem, just had to replace chin & broken Tensioner with
Pin]. Thus explaining the delay. Anyways, I check the coolant level
after several "Test Drives" [each = over 50 miles]. Result: the coolant
level SHOULD be beyond the overflow tube hole. Thus making FULL use of
the Overflow bottle & sealing the system of any "Air bubbles" that could
cause rust inside the system [including the heater]. Morral: Check under
the rad. cap & replace if nessary. -Cosmo
