TR6 steering wheel - what colour?

Thanks to all those who have responded to my original post re the
restoration process for a TR6 steering wheel.  The process appears to be a
good sanding, an undercoat/primer and the top coat.

Question is what colour is the top coat i.e. is it aluminium, silver or
some close variation to these colours?  What type of paint provides a good
lasting finish?
