Chuck,
I am the one who mentioned this thermostat. It is an aftermarket
thermostat with a large outlet orifice to (presumably) allow
greater flow through the radiator (less back pressure). My friend
Brian Schlorff (who reads this list on occasion)
(britcars@powerbritish.com) told me about it this week.
He told me the brand name, but it escapes my mind now.
He can tell you. He has used it with good results in this
moderately warm Philadelphia area.
I will be checking in to skirted thermostats for
other makes of autos.
