Welding Gas Tank

Some body shops and dealers have a device called something like
"Snifter."   It reads fume levels and indicates non explosive
conditions.  I used one when I worked for a GMC truck dealer.  We
couldn't even send the tanks to salvage until they were safe. Might
check locally.  Don't think it takes a Phd to read one.
