You can put this ratio in your car with complete confidence. I had one in
my GT6 Mk 2 (which is the UK version of the 6+) and nary a problem EXCEPT
for the fact that the overdrive sometimes kicked out at around 90+mph. This
made me glad I'd had the optional self-draining driver's seat fitted. We
soon fixed that problem but by what means, I can't remember. It was not
difficult. Original diff on an O/D 6 was 3.54:1 if my memory isn't at fault
(which it might be) but there's no doubt in O/D 4th, I had a superbly long
legged beast for high speed long distances runs. Economy was pretty good
too, 36-40mpg at around 70mph was easily attainable. As for locating a
suitable diff, what's Ted Schumacher got in his backyard?
